Been shopping around for a good match for JD 2210. Found a used (maybe twice!) Land Pride RCR 1548 for the same $$ I have quoted KK, Howse, Hardee 4' models NEW?? Deal or no deal?

Is 4' the way to go on the 2210 (23hp/17.7pto)?

Powerwise, you're good to go. Weight might be a different issue.

You'll definitely want front ballast if you don't have a loader.

I'm not familar with the LandPride but I have the JD LX4 rotary cutter on a 2210, witch is a 4 foot cutter. It handles it fine power wise, I always use it with the loader on, you will want some weight on the front or a loader for ballast. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Have the FEL so no problem there. Thanks.

Main question = would you buy the used LP or new more econ model? - The LP is in the JDLX4 and Bush Hog price range new. (and that keeps going up!!) Got alot of rose bushes to keep out of cut over and pasture. Thanks again.

If the Land Pride cutter was only used twice I would say DEAL!

It is more of a cutter than the others and would be a good match to your 2210.

Thanks for the replies/opinions - just what I wanted to hear. I have looked at this used LP and have seen worse wear on "new" units weathered on sale lots. The pan and blades appear untouched. Time to make an "informed" purchase. Thanks for the help.

Good choice, IMHO. Land Pride is a step up from the econo-cutters. I've got a King Kutter and it works great but if I could've gotten a LandPride for the same money I would've done it in a heartbeat!

Shipman, these guys are on-point.

Land Pride is a first-rate line of equipment, at least their shredders. Nothing wrong with KK or Howse (I own one), but like was said above...if I could have a slightly used LP for the same money as a new economy line I would do it.

One more in agreement. Same/almost same money, Lanpride is the better mower. I have an economy Howse 48" and it works fine, but as was said, for about the same money, the Landpride is a better deal.
