My father-in-law has an old (and I mean old) 5' roll-over type box blade/scarifier. The cutting edges are beyond worn out. I will need two (forward and back side) edges. Where can i get edges? Will most 5' edges be drilled the same, or will I have to drill new holes? The bolts are beyond help also. The bolt heads and nuts are ground down too. Major neglect. One more thing, the top link holes are more than worn out. I heard you can use a copper rod and weld around that, then tap out the rod. Will that work to fill in the holes? Can someone point me to a manufacturer of these roll-over type blades? I may have to give them a call for parts. I love this blade because it's heavy as HECK, but it doesn't cut much anymore.

John,

My next door neighbor sells blades for big snow plows and just about everything else too. I don't know anything about cost, or if he can help, but I can ask if you would like. I can also get you his e-mail address for direct communication. He is pretty busy delivering blades for the coming snow season, so I hope you are not in a big hurry...

John,

How is your pond coming along?

Buck,
The "pond" is waiting for a layer of clay. Seems I went down a wee bit too far and found some nice sand. Real Clean, no rocks. Want some?

The area around the pond is now slowly growing grass and in the spring will (hopefully) sprout some of the wild flower seeds I snatched from my wifes garden (shhhh, don't tell her it was me /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif)

I'll have to snap a photo and post it...

John Bud
