I'm thinking about getting a rear blade for my JD990, and would like to know how the quality of Frontier rear blades compare with Land Pride blades. My JD dealer sells Land Pride and claims that they are stronger and less expensive.

Thanks,

Steve

I just got a Frontier 1072 rear blade a couple of weeks ago. These have been discontinued in favor of the 2072.

My JD dealer recommended the Land Pride instead of the 2072 because he believes the 2072 is inferior to the 1072. However, he was able to locate a 1072 in inventory elsewhere and get that for a good price.

Don't know how much this helps, but if two JD dealers agree, can it be wrong to go with Land Pride? I'm sure you will get all sorts of folks recommending all sorts of brands. If you aren't penny-pinching and want to save yourself a headache, the Land Pride is a safe bet.

I took the 1072 for the color and "discontinued" price. If I had to choose between 2072 and Land Pride, I would buy the Land Pride and a gallon of green.

Hey guys, the RB1072 is a 12HP-40HP rear blade and the RB2072 is a 23HP to 55HP rear blade. The Toplink mounting is much more stout on the RB2072 as well. Please compare both yourself before making the decision. Here is the pic of the RB1072.

Talked to one JD dealer who said he carried Land Pride also and sold those about as much as frontier. I just ordered a Land Pride RB 3584 with optional offset cylinder and end plates from a rental outfit here because the JD dealer couldn't ever remember to order the Frontier I wanted. I haven't gotten it in yet so can't comment on it. The frontier I wanted was close in weight and options but was a bit more expensive.
