I know this has been discussed before but hopefully someone has new info. I am in the market for the above and have looked at the Howse, King Kutter and seen pictures of the Leinbach. Anyone know which is the best overal unit. Can't seem to decide on my own. Some of the units look to small and even the 30 inch King Cutter looks really small, I will put it on a L4310 GST. Help please! Also any other brand would be considered, these are all I found!
Thanks in advance

Any of them would be good, be sure to get a reversible on.

If you could find an old Ford scoop you would love it. They are hard to come by, but one of the best scoop's around in my option.

I agree with the others.. reversable is good. I've seen the 3 brands you mention.. all are built very HD..

I used to have a King Kutter model and it was reversible.
It worked great. Once I bought a tractor with a loader I didn't need it.

I've still found that it is easier to dig native or compacted earth with the dirt scoop, vs a fel.. etc.

I have a 24 inch dirt scoop. Brand is J Bar.
This thing is practically indestructable.
Only complaint is that it is not bigger.
It holds about a wheelbarrow heaped up full of dirt.
But I got it cheap. $66 on ebay and I had to go pick it up.

Except for my RFM, my dirt scoop is my most used implement.

I find mine useful even though I have a loader, if I have to transport multiple loads of something more than a short distance. The extra scoops sure add up if you are making a lot of trips... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
