I share Steve's opinion, although my draft control experience is with a boxblade and a landscape rake. I broke one rake in half already, while windrowing rocks after a bulldozer backfilled an old pond. The soil was loose, and the rake simply tried to bury itself. It snapped in half before I realized what was happening behind me. Now, if/when the (new) rake starts digging (too deep) the draft control pulls it back up to ground level.
Box blade is pretty obvious. My Jinmas didn't have draft control, and the tires would start digging deep ruts when the BB cut too big of a bite. I now set the draft control on the KAMA to lift the BB to preset operating depth BEFORE the wheels start spinning.
