GlennT, you can also see it on their web site here, but I don't like their new web site (and sent them an e-mail to tell them so). It takes too long to open Acrobat reader and download any of the catalog.

Bird: I'm 65; by the time I get through all of those Adobe pages to get to the section on shovels, my relatives will be looking for shovels to dig my grave! That's way too slow!! I don't have that much patience.

I found a long handled drain spade at Home Depot. I can't remember how much I paid but it was under $30. It has a heavy fiberglass handle and a thick head. Beats hell out of a short D- handled straight shooter!

Glenn, I forgot to mention, that you may also need to shorten the top link up to its minimum. This will get the forward tip of the blade to be very low, relative to the rear once you've got the angle at 45 degrees or so.

Bird: Old? What are you talking about? Sixty-five is just a good start!! For pete's sake, why do you suppose I bought a NEW John Deere? My mother turns 99 on February 13th and she told me recently that she finds it hard to believe that she might be old. She said that "I look in the mirror and wonder who that old woman is." By the way, as a young girl she rode a horse to a rural school in South Dakota and remembers how exciting it was to go to the small airstrip in Renner, South Dakota, to see Lindbergh when he was making his triumphant tour of the country after returning from Paris. Now maybe that's old--maybe.

Does the TSC catalog have prices in it. I did not see any prices on their sloooooow web site. I would like to know the price range before I get too excited about some new 'toys'.
