I have a John Deere 4020 which has a category 2 3-point hitch. I have a couple of cat 1 implements, and would like to have the benefit of using a quick coupling adapter, similar to JD's imatch. Are there any of the cat 1 quickhitch adapters out there that will connect to a cat 2 hitch (without modification)?

There are bushing that you can buy that will adapt 1 to 2 and 2 to 3. However i do not know how well that would work on a quik detach. I would assum that if you put the proper washer on it then is should work just fine. Bear in mind there is a reason for the difference. That is that a cat one is not always built to support the pressure that a cat 2 tractor can exert on it. I have broke implements pulling them on to big a tractor designed for a lesser catagory. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

You can replace the pins on the implement with cat two, thats what I did.
