\"finish\" mowing with rotary cutter
I have discovered that my "yard", which consists of about 9 acres, looks pretty good when I cut it with the rotary cutter. This is an area that wasn't cut routinely by the previous owner, but I would like for it to look nicer. I do mow a 1 acre area close around the house with the BX22 MMM. I am upgrading to a larger tractor and think I may just use a rotary cutter as the ground is pretty rough under all that grass (former cow pasture) and I'm thinking the rotary cutter will hold up better than a rear finish mower, plus save the $$$ that I would have to spend on the finish mower. I need a hog for other parts of my property anyway.
Anyone else do this? Pro's and con's? Thanks for your input!
