Box Blade? I need to move some dirt with \'52 TO30
I have a 1952 Ferguson TO30 and it has no FEL. What I got with it was a rotary cutter and a beat to heck scraper blade.
I have a load of dirt that was just put over a culvert and I need to smooth it out. It is almost flat now, but the scraper blade won't dig in enough. I would have to go go over that dirt 50 times to take 12" down...
I was reading one of the box blade threads and someone was saying if you push in reverse, it can work like a dozer.
What are the scraper blades ideal for?
Do you have to put weight on them?
Also, I don't think the 3 point hitch puts any hydraulic downforce on the implement, does it?
Any advice? /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
