Where do I begin.....

    Default Pull-type bush hogs?

Anyone actually OWN one? I'm talking 7' or 8', drawn type, NEWER models. (Seen a gang of old ones, but haven't seen anything made new in the last 20 years actually in use)

I favor Bush Hog brand, but would consider about anything. I want to mow with a tractor that easily has the HP, but nowhere near the WEIGHT to handle 8' 3-point models. (And don't want to add any weight)

I'm starting to look on manufacturers sites, but would like to have some personal experiences.

I had a 15' woods mower last year with a m95 tractor. From my experience if you have the room to drive/manuever a pull type unit then I would probably go that route. My main reason would be that it seems alot easier to hook up a pull type unit. I could also get the bush hog to run level and I believe it made a better cut than one on a 3pt hitch because the ones on a 3pt hitch are almost always running at an angle. I am looking at an 8' pull type unit hopefully by next year to pull behind my 50hp kubota.

I've got a Rhino 15' flex-wing rotary cutter (pull type). You can't go wrong with Rhino, and even Bush Hog brand makes a pretty decent mower.

I'm familiar with batwing mowers. But this isn't about them. I'm looking 8' max., single-spindle pull-type. Found info from Rhino, Woods, Bush Hog, and a few others. All I've got so far is manufacturers literature. Looking for feedback from someone with one.

I've got a 6" Swisher, it isn't what you'd call new, it came with my Oliver OC3. My 18 hp Mitsu will run it, but you have to get the blade up to speed before trying to move. I really don't have room to manuver it, but it sure cuts nice.
