What do guys think this is worth? Its a 6 foot 96 model used a couple of times then placed behind the barn. Its in excellent shape. It hardly has any rust besides the parts that engage the ground. I can get it for $200.00.
Also, can you use it to prepare an existing stand of fescue for replanting of a different type of grass? Do you have to use a set of disc first. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Ft, I'd look around. On dealer used lots I see literally 10's of these. Wider implements are usually just multiples of these. Check-out local auctions. $200 seems high to me. These are pretty bullet proof with the axle bearings the critical point. Rust wouldn't scare me as long as the frame was sound.
Actually, looking closer I see it is a 3 pt hook-up and, assuming you can lift it, I'd offer $165. Most of what I see on dealer lots are pull types.

I a Gill is about the same as a Landpride pulverizer, my LP has 2 rows of teeth, I have a 6' model and works very well for makeing a prefect seedbed for plannting yards. since I got mine the tiller only works gardens any more. A new 6' LP will got for $1200. if this is the same type attachment for $200 is a steal in my book. Mine works great for leveling yards.

Jeff, I've never used nor priced a pulverizer, but it seems to me that any 6', almost new, implement made by Gill is worth $200. However, it is primarily a landscape tool and will work best on bare ground. I think it would plug in short order with grass/weeds if used for what you have in mind. I would choose a disc for this, followed by a harrow.

I was concerned it wouldn't work well on an established stand of fescue. Thanks for the info.

I haven't really looked at my local dealers for this type of implement. I'll make a few calls and see what they're going for. Thanks.
