Rear Blade Woods vs Landpride Rear Blade

I don't want to start a woods/landpride debate - but I am in the market for a new 72" rear blade and wanted to get advice.

The woods RB72 for $385 and the Landpride RB1572 for $390 - which one wood you rather have?

The woods does have 3 tilt positions and the landpride does not.
Any experiences are appreciated!

I haven't seen the two side by side recently enough to compare build quality, though both makes are reputable and known for extremely high quality and durability, but the tilt features would be worth having IMO... never know when you'll need it. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

I think it'll end up as a coin toss... both Woods & Landpride are quality manufacturers... however both of these products are "entry" level rear blades... I personally prefer Woods MD and HD rear blades over Landpride if given the choice...

I would go with the Woods, but for tilt use, {max. 35-40hp is pushing it} very very light duty ditching on these 1/4" moldboards otherwise they bend real easy, also light grading will damage these quickly by catching a small hidden stump/root or unmoveable rock... /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif

I purchased an Woods RB60 and am quite pleased with it. It is well made. I have used it to cut in a driveway, a small storage area, and clear and level an area on my property. The angle and tilt positioning is very easy to use.

My suggestion is to go with the Woods!!

I also have a Woods RB60. My dealer threw it in at no separate charge as a FEL counter balance when I bought the tractor. Seems like a decent blade, although it's listed as one of their General Purpose blades and not a medium or heavy duty one.

What about the tufline GB160 rear blade. I'm looking for a rear blade also. Is anybody familiar with this blade.

I compared the Woods RB 60 to the Befco BRB 60 and went with Befco. They are both comparable blades, the Befco tilts and offsets, and both looked heavy enough and the only reason I can give you for going with the Befco is the color it matched my Bota /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I have the woods rb84 with skid shoes. I primarily use it for plowing snow but have also done a lot of grading work with no problem/bending. I haven't needed the tilt feature yet but did want it due to the extra versatility.

The Monroe-Tufline GB1-xx is their "entry" level blade, but would be considered a Medium duty against these units...

Great quality, extremely durable units, and very underrated... very hefty across the board...

I tend to look at Monroe-Tufline with rear blades reputation as you would Bush Hog and their rotary cutter reputation...
