Wish I had R4 tires

I wish I had a set of R4's. But, they are about $900, for tires and rims. I have turf tires now, on my Kubota B8200. The rims are too wide for the correct size R1 or R4 for my tractor.

I bought my tractor with the turf's on it. I needed a machine for mowing right away, and found a reasonable deal on it. It works great for mowing. My needs have expanded though, and I could use a more aggressive tire.

Tractor tires just are not a priority now, unbelievable as that is/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Robert,

How about a set of chains? I know a lot of tractor loggers use them for traction in the woods. Got to be cheaper than those R4's with rims.

Does anyone here try to remove snow with ag tires? How does it perform on concrete? On Gravel? Thanks!

R1's are by far the best in the snow. I have used R4's and while they are better than turfs the R1's do the best in my rural area with the heavy wet lake effect snows we get.

Nothing like bringing up a R4/R1 fight. Especially one that is over 8 years old.:D
