Okay guys.

I have another problem. I ordered a 6' rake for my B3030.
It was a Bush Hog. My dealer just told me it will be another month before it comes in ( I ordered it 2 weeks ago ).
He does have a new Kodiak 6' rake that I can have instead of waiting another month for the Bush Hog. He told me to use it and if I don't like it, bring it back and trade it for the Bush Hog when it comes in.

Now I don't know anything about both brands and see the price is just about the same. Any advise on what one I should go for?
Thanks,
-Duane

I like Bush Hog products (at least the rotary cutters and tillers I've had experience with). No experience with the rakes, but I'd have to take the dealer up on his offer. Try the Kodiak and if you don't like it, swap later. I would expect the Kodiak to be just as good. My only concern is that I know where to get parts for a Bush Hog product. Are they just as easy to get for Kodiak? I don't know; may be or may not be.

Duane -

I suggest you see if you can find a Midwest rake. They should be available in your area. Very high quality for a very reasonable price. www.midwestequipment.net. If you can't find one, go to your local Kioti dealer as the Kioti rakes are made by midwest and they will be orange like your tractor. I have a Woods 72" rake and it is a good unit as well, but I think you'll find the Midwest might be less money. I would also suggest you give strong consideration to a set of gauge wheels for it.

Thanks Bird and Tim.

I took the dealers offer and picked up the Kodiak rake today. I already payed for the rake 2 weeks ago so I'm kind of bound to my purchase.

The midwest site was pretty good, wish I would have seen it before, thanks.

I did notice that the tines on Kodiak rake are not very straight and the paint job was very shabby. I think I'll use this to get most of my work done then when the Bush Hog comes in, swap them out.
I attached a picture but it's not the good.
