First off, you would be well advised to walk the areas you will be cutting. It's really surprising how many stumps, rocks and weird metal things a cutter will attract.
There are 2 options on cutting medium wooded areas. Going forward with a FEL low to push over stuff and going backward. Obviously, forward is easier, but can be rougher on the tractor. Those are trees you are driving over, and they are pointed the wrong way if you get stuck and have to back out. It never fails, there will be a nasty pointy one that wants to impale you or the tractor waiting for you in the spot you have to jockey around back and forth.
For that reason, I like to back into some virgin areas. The stuff is all shredded down to compost and the tractor is pointed in the right direction if you find you can't keep going. It happens when there is a tree too big to knock over next to a tall stump on one side and a nasty rock on the other. But, the neck gets pretty sore looking over the shoulder for a long time.
It's a trade off.
But to answer your question, with that cutter, if you can get a tree under it, it will cut it up. Wear hearing protection and eye protection, "stuff" will be fly'n! Also, keep one hand on the 3pt lift lever. Set your brain to yank on it when loud noises or sparks start flying. Also, follow the book on setting the slip clutch. They will freeze up and fail to slip.
