Our 6 ft First Choice Finish mower sells for $1395 with solid tires and rear discharge. Considering features and price to Befco, First Choice brand is hard to beat--Ken Sweet

I've used the 5', pull behind finish mower for about 5 years. It's a very good, well made piece of equipment. I would recommend it to anybody. Befco products seem to be at the higher end of the price range but their quality is undeniable. My only complaint after 5 years of constant use is that the middle spindle, because of the design, is a little awkward to grease but that can be said of many 3-spindle mowers. All in all, if a Befco mower is going to be your choice, I don't think you will be disappointed.

I have a 5ft First Choice Finish mower. I would like to get a 6ft mower and would like to go and get it. BEFCO Inc. i can go pick it up. I have look at a lot of Finish mowers and that one looks all most like the first choice. I just do not know any one that had one.

I had a Befco before I switched to a MMM. They are excellent quality mowing decks and much of the quality is put into parts you cannot see like the way they have their gears cut. Anyone can build a cheap deck, not everyone can deliver a well engineered deck, Befco makes some of the finest, most innovative finish mowers on the market.

I have a 5' Frontier rear discharge RFM made by Befco. It is considered an economy model as the 3pt height is designed for a limited class one with low ground clearance. The four wheels make it handle independent of the tractor. I mow a very rough pasture, as fast as I can, and it does a nice job. I hit a large root which knocked the slack adjuster off. I had to get a socket, open it up and put it back on. It was much easier to work on than a MMM. The blades will need some upkeep but I'm impressed so far with the speed and durability of what I do. The Frontier green matches JD and I'm sure is marked up accordingly.

Concur with all the good comments about Befco. I got my my 60" mower as part of a package deal with a used Deere. The mower was used too.
Other then grease, sharpening the blades and replacing the belt, it's done a fine job!
