Could someone recommend a specific source/model for loader forks for my Kubota 7500 and any tips/gotchas, etc. ? I'm trying to move piles of cedar brush and this looks like the perfect solution short of expensive grapplers.

But I noticed several designs. Some have chains with chain tighteners (load somethingerothers). Others seem to clamp on. Some claim the "other brands" are made out of cheaper steel, or are too short, or... But the price of all still seems right (about $200 w/ shipping off Ebay) and the right solution. I'm in Austin, TX, so a supplier close by might save me shipping (I saw one mfgr. in Ok, another in NH).

An actual <owner> of one with testimonial as to specific source and experiences would be very helpful. Thanks.

I own a pair of the light duty clamp on forks for my b7500. They work well. I have never lifted much that is heavy - just brush and such as you describe. They are pretty heavy duty.

Your loader has a lifting capacity of around 700 lbs and quite a bit less with forks attached. Just about all forks out there will lift at least 700 lbs.

3" x 4.10 bar channel steel is commonly used for CUT forks and 36" forks will carry around 1000 lbs safely which is more that your loader can safely handle.

If you have welding skills I offer a free set of plans to build your own. Total material cost will be $50-$75 depending on the price of steel at your location. Send me a PM with your real email address if you want plans.

Try lookimg at your local Frok Lift (Hyster) place.Alot of times they will have a Hyster that is out of service and they might sell the forks off of it fairly cheep. Then just customize them to your application.

If you don't mind, could you please tell me where you got them ? I assume you were happy with the transaction also ?

Thanks,

Sorry I did not reply sooner - I just saw your question. I bought the forks from Payne - about 18 months ago. And yes, I was happy with the transaction - no problems at all. The forks are very solid and well made too. I am quite sure my bucket would crumple under a load well before they would!!!
