I am looking at rear discharge mowers, and I really like the woods. They carry a Standard, Premium, and heavy duty. I saw the heavy duty has a 5 year warranty instead of the 3 year on the standard. It also has the swinging blades instead of the fixed lawn mower type in case you hit something you didn't plan on. The price the dealer gave me on the 72in standard was 1750, where the heavy duty was around 2500. I'm looking to find the extra $700 in difference. Is it something I'm not seeing? It is heavier metal but I doubt I will wear out the metal on the standard duty. I don't mind spending more for a better product, if it is a better product. Does anyone have knowledge of the product as to some major differences I may be overlooking? I have been to the web site and looked at the finish mowers section but still don't see the major differences. I wish they had a comparrison chart like some companies have showing the features side by side. Thanks Paul

I think the Woods HD is a very good mower in fact JD sells it with their name on it. I like the way the whells are made versus the regular type of finish mower I have a problem of bending my whells shafts when I back up which will not happen on this type of mower. I think if you are going to mow 4 plus acres it could be justfied but 2 or less acres I would have to take a long hard look. I would have bought one if I knew what I know now from experence of using the regular style, I mow about 5 acres and feel i have gained some knowledge of the different units.
