Default B7100 Lift arms too short?

    Hello all.
I have a kubota b7100 that has large industrial tires on the back. It seems that the lift arms just seem to be 6" too short. I bought a single row cultivator today and it hooks up, but is hitting the lift arms and it does not raise high enough to keep from hitting the ground. Anyway, the lift arms are 24" long, would longer arms and top link help? Any help would be appriciated.

Can you show us a picture of that cultivator hooked up?

I'm not sure if this helps.. but on my yanmar 1700 I had to add lower lift arms from a ford n series to get some length.

    Hello All,
Thanks for the replies. My camera fell off of my table saw a few months back. It came apart like a $2 watch. I can try to take a picture without a flash in a couple of days. Anyway, I have found a "extra long" top link at tractor supply. Their lower arms are $46 each. I have ordered 2 from agrisupply for $20.98 apiece plus $11 shipping. So far, looks like it I'll have to make them fit. Doesn't look like too much trouble, weld on a eye for the sway chains, add a bushing to the center hole..... oh well, another project...

Not knowing too much about Kubota's, I will venture to guess you have a limited cat1 3pt hitch, like I have on my garden tractor, not a standard 3pt hitch like on bigger tractors. There is a reason why the maker installs a limited cat1 not a standard cat 1, becareful "upgrading" to the standard 3pt, more so with heavier equipment. Breaking the rockshaft is not cheap.

The reason I asked about a picture is because I had a '95 B7100 with category 1 3-point and never had to modify anything except shorten the PTO driveshaft on the tiller; nothing at all to modify for the brush hog and box blade.
