Hi all
I have a 15-foot Rhino batwing. Does it hurt it if I mow with the wings up? I have a stretch I need to mow between some trees, and it is too narrow to take the entire mower through. The section is about 500 feet long. Will it hurt the mower to use the central section to mow and raise the wings up? Thanks for any advice.

I wouldn't advise it.

It is hard on the u-joints and makes a racquet. I've done it before for a short period, but decided not to do it again.

Hopefully you don't "suck a bird" as the the aviation industry says.

Good make for quite the show.

My JD batwing manual says you can lift the wings slightly to clear an obstacle like a stump.. but to not run the wings at more than a 'slight' angle tot he center section .. Hard on the u-joints.. Remember.. they are not CV joints...
