Landpride FDR2572 & JD I-Match

My tractor just arrived today along with my I-Match. I tried mating it up to my RFM. The lower links seem to match up fine but the upper link seems questionable. What prevents the upper link of the RFM from popping out of the upper hook of the I-Match? Am I missing something? Do I need a bushing kit for the lower and upper pins?

Does anyone have a picture of their I-Match connected to their RFM, especially a Landpride?

Hi Neo,

I keep thinking how nice it would be to have one of those QA options for the 3pt...:D

This one looks, unfortunately, too high for the imatch (not having had one/adjusted one).:(

JD/Frontier are now labelling what stuff is imatch compatible, so checking out the spacing to the toplink/lower arms on your weight box should give you some idea of spacing they are producing for the i match...

I don't know if the pic I attached is big enough to see, but spacing for the BB2072 ("imatch compatible") seems like space between lower arms is roughly equal to lower arm to upper i match link spacing (front bushing below where my toplink is attached is intended for the i match I believe).

Transporting large distances would be the only drawback I would think leaving the toplink off... gauge wheels on the 2572 look plenty rugged, for that matter.

Go to LandPride web site and look at the operators manuals for the mower and their Quick Hitch. I am thinking about getting a new Land Pride RFM and was checking out the same thing. LP has an optional assembly that works with the floating top link.

I don't remember for sure but I believe that it was the Quick Hitch manual that showed how to handle the floating top link.

Texbaylea, thanks for the tip. I checked out the Landpride website and found the information in the manual for their quick hitch. I have attached the documents so other people can have a look. The part number for the Landpride Quick-Hitch Floating Top Link Assembly Kit is 320-013A. However, this applies to the Landpride Quick-Hitch. I wonder if JD makes the same kit for their iMatch or could I adapt the Landpride kit to the iMatch?

I can't seem to find a manual for the JD iMatch online. Does anyone have a manual? If so, does it reference a floating top link kit and does it have a part number for ordering?

While online at JD, I found a picture of the Frontier mower hooked up to an iMatch. Rather than make a kit for the iMatch, there seems to be a special kit for the Frontier mower. A special V-bracket that attaches to the lower links, upper floating link and then hooks into the top hook of the iMatch. The part number for this kit is WP1005400. Again, I wonder if this bracket would work on my Landpride? This almost seems like the better solution.

Which do you think is the better method? The Frontier method is nice because you don't have to pin the upper link. Just hook in the iMatch and attach the PTO shaft.

I guess I will bring this paperwork into my JD Dealer tomorrow and see if we can come up with something.

I have a JD tractor with an iMatch and purchased the landpride top link adapter kit. Works perfectly. The price was about $30.00 from my local dealer. Good luck. dan

NH Dan,

Is it identical to the one pictured in the attached PDF file? Please post a picture if you can. I will stop by a Landpride dealer tomorrow. Thanks for your help.

Neophyte and NH_Dan

I went back to look at the LP Quick Hitch manual again and I noticed that it lists 7 different lenghts of available lower bushings. These would be better than the one size fits all that TSC sells.

My problem is that my nearest LP dealer deals mainly in haying equipment and took on LP mainly to have large heavy duty rotary cutters to sell. He indicated to me that he was not sure he wanted to deal in the smaller stuff. I had ordered a guage wheel kit for my LP rake through him. I will have to try him on ordering the bushings after I make some measurements.

I purchased the Landpride Quick-Hitch Floating Top Link Assembly Kit, P/N 320-013A, for around $26. It seems to do the trick. You have to get off the tractor to pin the top link but you need to get off the tractor anyway to hook up the driveline so it's not a big deal. This is still a whole lot easier than doing it without the iMatch.

I will probably be adding a coat of green paint to the top link kit so it goes better with the iMatch. ;) I also need to get different lower bushings. The ones I have are meant for the top hook of the iMatch and seem to be smaller than the lower link bushings.

I also purchased the Front Roller Assembly (Anti-Scalping Roller), P/N 310-254S, for around $75. I installed it tonight and it seemed to help but I was still scalping in some places. I still need to grade my lawn in certain areas.

I will try to post some pictures of the setup this week.

Here are few quick pictures of the Landpride Quick-Hitch Floating Top Link Assembly Kit, P/N 320-013A. It's a very simple solution. The kit includes (2) top link bars, (1) clevis pin, (1) flat washer, (1) hair pin cotter and (1) spacer bushing. Someone could easily make the bars if they chose to. Let me know if you would like the dimensions.

The attached pictures are of the top link bars in the stowed position. The one nice part is that they stay out of the way when they are not needed. I will post some pictures with the mower attached the next time I use it. I think these bars will work on my rotary cutter as well but I have yet to test it.

By the way, my JD dealer told me there was no way to match up the Land Pride to the iMatch. Question everything.
