Newbie here. I just found this website last night and it seems pretty awesome so far. This is my first post here and would like to start by saying "hello" to all.

Anyway, I would like to find a 6ft. pull type rotary cutter. Not some new model, just an old worn 6 ft. cutter that I can pull with a Farmall H tractor. I am in Alabama and have been looking for a while. I know people have thiem, it's just difficult locating them.

Anybody have one, or know someone that does? PLEASE HELP!!!! My wife went walking across the field last week and it took her 2 days to find her way back through the overgrowth :D .

If you haven't already, you might try searching or placing a Want ad in the Alabama Farmers Bulletin. I usually see several pieces of Farmall equipment and attachments listed.
Mississippi and Georgia departments of agriculture have similar (and larger) publications as well.

If you are looking for old pull type mowers, keep your eyes open while driving in the country. Usually see them parked behind barns, in a clump of brush, in equipment boneyards, etc. I can name one right off a mile from my house and anohter the other side of town in a boneyard. Common as dirt around here (E Wa)

Since you don't say what part of Bama your in, it may not be much use to you. There is also the Farmers Exchange that comes monthly out of TN. I think it exchangepublications.com . My FIL gets it and I look at the old issues. JC

I have a six footer, semi converted by a previous owner to a 3 pt hitch type. I use it, so no sale on it. I also have a seven footer out back, in rough to terrible condition, but I wouldn't drive that far to pick it up. Probably find one closer if you keep looking.

A 7' is really too big. We have a 6' that is going to a welder Tuesday. We'll see what happens from there. Maybe we can sacrifice ours instead of having to buy and repair someone elses.
