Input from Rhino dealers

I am going to take on the Servis-Rhino line and am looking for input on your satisfaction of product (Looks great) as well as working with the company. Any input is of value to me.

I'm not a dealer, but I have owned a Rhino 85 backhoe for several years now.
Nice backhoe, it has been strong, fast and problem free.. ( with an 18" and 36" bucket).

I'm not a dealer either. But I have some input that may be helpful. Back in Jan. I started shopping for a 6' medium duty cutter. I was looking at Woods, Bush Hog, and Rhino primarily. I considered a few others, but not for long. I liked what I saw of Rhino. Problem was, there was but one dealer in the immediate area. With fuel prices what they are, I didn't want to travel 100 miles to save $50 on a mower. There are dozens ofWoods dealers , and several Bush Hog dealers within a 30 minute drive. The sole Rhino dealer didn't have ANY inventory and claimed it would take him 30 to 60 days to get what I was looking for.

The delay might well have had something to do with the time of year. Maybe, maybe not. The lack of Rhino dealers in the area didn't help their cause.

OK. Where's that lead us. If YOUR area is typical of what I've seen, you could be "the only game in town". Provided you carry a decent inventory and believe in customer care, that can be a GOOD THING. Rhino has a good reputation. I t comes mostly from a great industrial/super heavy duty mower line, but their light and medium duty line seems to be an equal of Woods and Bush Hog. Stock their products, sell at a fair price, and let the world know you have something no one else in the area has, and you SHOULD sell a gang of 'em.

JMHO, and worth all you paid for it.

my NH has a Rhino loader on the front. But i cant for the life of me find out if Rhino sells a quick disconnect version for the FEL.

Thanks for the input Farmwithjunk. Here is where I am at. I want a very high quality implement brand. All the Kubota dealers in the area are owned by members of the same family be it uncles, brothers, nephews etc. One relative is the Landpride rep so they won't talk to me.

BushHog has another chain of dealers so they won't talk to me either and finally Woods has is tied in with the Kubota people here as well. This left me with Servis Rhino. I found out that the Kubota folks here sold Servis-Rhino for many, many years and there are tons of them out here. They dropped it when they went Landpride so I have a large existing parts market as well as an already established name. I got a large area that covers my two retail locations so I intend on competing with the others at that level of quality.

I wondered how other dealers found dealing with the company, how timely shipments went out and how quickly and available parts are. I am excited about being with them and just wanted some input about from other dealers.

I am over further west from you, a little west of McCall. I bought a Kubota 5030 HSTC earlier this year and wanted a subframe backhoe. Kubota dealer told me "no go" with the cab on the 5030 so I searched on this site for models that would work, and spoke to Rhino HQ to verify. My Kubota dealer had "never heard" of Rhino, or the fact that their subframe unit would fit on the 5030 HSTC. Rhino was very good to deal with and gave me info sufficient to educate the dealer, and order the Rhino 85 BH.

I have been using it quite a bit, and have had zero problems with it. It seems well made, and the subframe appears substantial and well engineered. The only modification I would make to it would be to lengthen the outrigger legs; they are just a little short and sometimes do not reach down far enough when there are depressions near the intended pad placement location. I need to imagineer some footpads for it to increase the foot thickness.

Maka I think that Rhino is quality equipment. Every year when I visit the Ag Expo I am more and more impressed with them. Problem is everything around this neck of the woods is Bush Hog red (no Woods, Rhino, or Landpride dealer for at least 40 miles) and I can't justify carrying two "major" equipment lines.

Does Rhino have loader and backhoe mounts out yet for Montana tractors or are they at least going to be working on them? I know they make a lot of mounts for the Kioti tractors (which is another reason I wish I had them) but not sure if anybody has aftermarket mounts for Montana yet. Well good luck with whatever you decide to do, happy selling season!

Rhino makes the best flexwing mowers. Bush Hog is probably second.
