I have used my KingKutter 60 inch tiller a few times now and am please with the job it does. I tilled a field behind the house to plant a food plot for some deer and turkeys. The field has never been turned or worked on. The field had chest high weeds growing on it and I had it bush hogged first. I ran the tiller out it very slowly for the first time. I was using a new tractor and a new piece of equipment so I took my time. I was running in first gear and on low gear. So it went very slowly, next time it should go quite a bit faster. I was expecting to see clumps of weeds mixed in with the dirt after being run over with the tiller. But I was pleasantly surprise to see there was very little of that; for the most part it was black dirt and very little of the weeds showing. I did notice when I ran over portions of the weeds that were really dense you could feel the tractor and tiller working harder. Portions of the field had some clay that turn hard as rock when it is dry. The tiller chipped through the hard clay portion like it was nothing and created a good seedbed. Overall I like the KingKutter tiller. Some of the things that I did not like about the KingKutter tiller was the paint is very poor. It does not look like they used any primer and the paint readily chips off. In time I will repaint the attachment to match the color of my tractor. I sent an e-mail to KingKutter about warranty centers if I did have a problem where would I take the tiller to have the warranty issue address. I did receive and e-mail back saying there are no warranty centers for KingKutter equipment. They said file a claim through the store where the equipment was purchase and it would be handle that way. That told me you are on your own when it comes to warranty repairs. They may send you the part but would not pay labor to install the part. It is not the same treatment you would receive from reputable motor vehicle or tractor dealer. The last issue that I posted below was maintenance on the attachment. Some people this may not matter, but I am big on proper maintenance, I just want thing to work when I am ready to work. There is not drain plug to change the gearbox oil and the transmission oil. I will change the oil every year with a suction hose. Overall it is a decent heavy built tiller and should last a number of years if not abused.

i bought the 72" king cutter last year and was very pleased with the job it did. i tilled up about 1/2 acre and it turned our clay to dust. i use it with an L-48 bota and it runs it easily. i looked at every model i could find locally and on the net. i was a little concerned at the price differance between the kingcutter and the other brands, but it seems to be very well built and it is very heavy. it is all gear driven and it is quite. only time will tell if it holds up. so far so good.

5 years ago, I bought a 72" King Kutter tiller at an auction. It had some use, how much I don't know. Since I've owned it, it's been hammered. I used it to work up one field of 24 acres, fescue sod, to plant corn. It's been used on 4 to 5 acres that our church plants a corn maize on every year. We always do anywhere from 3/4 to 1-1/2 acres of garden every year. I used it to dig out a hillside where I was building a driveway. It's hit rocks, roots, buried junk, concrete curbs, and a little dirt. It's been used enough to halfway wear out the tines. I've adjusted the slip clutch a couple times, checked the oil every spring, and in general, abused it.

No complaints from me OR the tiller.

Dollar for dollar, pound for pound, it's as good as any tiller on the market. In the hands of the average user, it'll last a lifetime and then some.
