If you already have the tank sprayer with a pump capable of handling a boom, the boom can be cobbled together for way less than what they are asking at Cabellas. You can go to the Fimco website and download their online manuals that have the part numbers for the nozzel assemblies used on the booms. You can also order "T" and elbow hose barb nozzel fittings and clamps from Agri-Supply.com for very little money. Just add some 1" diameter pipe for the frame and 1/2" hose and a fitting to adapt to the sprayer and you are in business. You can also buy a very similar small Fimco boom(80" coverage) there for around $48.
ASC # 56427 Boom
The Fimco boom seems to be only the arm and nozzles. The boom I got from Cabella's included everything to connect to my exiting tank:
-boom, nozzles, hoses, nozzle filters, etc
-arms to bolt bolt to bottom of tank
-all bolts, nuts, washers, etc
-all hoses, clamps, etc
-pressure guage
-"Y" connector, to connect existing spray wand
-connector to tank for pressure adjustment/relief
-connection adapters for hoses to fittings
All in all, it is a very complete package. I had it installed and spraying within an hour. I looked at trying to get all the parts and pieces from TSC, but didnt seem like the price of everything was ecomonical (including the metal for the boom). For what I got, I think the price is right.
