Hello and good morning All!
Well, we finally got one! Thanks to a good friend and a little bartering, we now are part of the box blade family. It's a Bush Hog brand and I think it's a 6'er. And we've been tearin it up (the land of course) since we've got it. I've read and heard a lot of comments about box blades and I've been wanting one since I first heard of them and now I can see why they are such a valuable asset to the farm/country life. These things can do amazing things in a short amount of time. We've been tearin it up and having so much fun that I cut our phone line cable and now have no phone! We had our natural gas line buried about 4' prior to gettin the BB because we had already decided on this one area to BB and we had all our other utility lines marked but for some reason this one spot where I went over the phone line was actually pretty shallow. So I figure it's a good lesson in no matter how much you prepare for something, take the extra step and pay attention to what you're diggin up. This good ol' earth hides many treasures and dangers, and of course lots and lots of roots and rocks!
thanks again y'all for your awesome input on just about anything tractor and implement related.
