Who makes backhoe buckets
Anyone know who makes the backhoe buckets for JD? Anyone know of someone/company that makes the same OR better quality bucket?
Thank you for any input,
David

Re: Who makes backhoe buckets
I just bought another bucket for my Nardi Backhoe. The way I did it was to go online and call or email each source I found. I compared prices and shipping for the bucket and bought from the most reasonable dealer.

Re: Who makes backhoe buckets
What size backhoe do you have? I have 16" bucket that is new, that I got for my Ameri-Quip 8' hoe and it is the same hoe a lot of the other OEM hoes that size. Igot it from a Century dealer! I remember when I was looking at tractors and backhoes that the ones on the John deere's that were called a 7 1/2 or 8 ft. backhoe were the same as mine. send me a P.M. with your tel. number and I'll call you or I'll P.M. you with mine. Paul.

My Woods backhoe has a Gannon bucket on it. I don't know if they have one to fit yours, but here's the link. It might be worth a call

Re: Who makes backhoe buckets
Thanks for the replies guys. I've got an 18" bucket and want another. I would like to get one with wear strips already on it. My local dealer wants $580. plus tax and shipping for their 18" w/o wear strips. I like the New Woods 9000 bucket but My dealer claims it won't fit. I'll do a little research.

Re: Who makes backhoe buckets
Check with your local gas utility co. and see where they get theirs. I worked for Lone Star Gas in Dallas in the garage, and we had a welder that would take a bucket to a metal fab shop and have them fabricate all the individual pieces, then he would just weld them together as needed. They may even have some old ones laying around you could pick up cheap.

Re: Who makes backhoe buckets
Gannon is owned by Woods. A 12" bucket for my Woods 1050 cost me about $600 4 years ago.
