can anyone recommend a 6ft or smaller 3pt pto driven backhoe that is at least half the price of new name brands. It would be going on a kubota 3130. I just want something to work rocks and small stumps out. thanks

Huckie, about the cheapest new backhoe i've seen is at Coastal Tractor in Conneticut.... i believe the brand name is "Mazotti" or something similar. They occaisionally list them on Ebay. Realistically.... you could drive there to pick it up and save a shipping charge. I believe bidding started around $3300 or so...... i've seen them sell to the first and only bidder. Most others i've seen start around $4000 or so and go up from there. I too have my eyes open for a 5-6 footer. Wouldn't you think there would be one made in China that would be considerably cheaper than an American made unit? I've scoured the classifieds as well as Ebay for a decent used hoe...... but have found nothing affordble yet. Good luck...... let me know if you find anything!

Check Ebay - there was a BL4690B 'hoe up there the last time I looked (few days ago) - it's a 7 1/2' hoe that is made for your tractor.

If it doesn't have the top mast assembly with it lemme know (PM) - I think have a leftover one that came with my BL4690B. I have a B2910 and I believe it takes a different top mast (top link) for the 3130. Think I might have some other misc hardware to install on a 3130 as well.

Someone on ebay has small backhoe attachments, with or without their own hydraulic pumps for around $2500. Come in black, red or blue. They had my attention. I didn't see any listed today though or I'd link you.

We have a Korean made 3-point backhoe,6'-6" or 7'-6", you can plumb off the tractor or use the optional pto pump and tank,I sell most of them with the pto and tank ,easy off and on and it keeps the unit self contained.High quality units,swedish valves,jic fittings,usa hoses,powder coat paint
Prices are $ 4,000. without pump and tank $ 4,700. with pump.Compare the quality to other backhoes out there.

I've got the 7'6" hoe from Affordable, it's a nice unit. I've been burying surface rocks that I kept hitting when I mowed the fields. I got the pump and tank as Tommy says, that's the way I wanted it and that's the way he reccomended it. It works very well, fit and finish is top notch. It goes on and off quite easily. The platform is roomy, you won't feel cramped on it. I'm 6', a taller person could use it comfortably. If you want any pictures, I'd be happy to take some.
