Don't know the answer to your question, but are you sure that you want to put one of those things on your tractor?.........I don't know your circumstances, but personally, I wouldn't..........Seems to me that it might tear up something inside the tractor, or wear out internal parts pre-maturely.........Seems it would put a lot of 'stress' on the PTO parts of the tractor............But, I am just speculating.........For I have never seen one and couldn't telly ya' how it is made or performs.

What size tractor do you plan to run it on? How many HP / PTO HP?

Many of the units I have seen take some serious PTO HP? Although I have seen a smaller one recently that takes a minimum of around 22 PTO HP.

I've used one on my 2120 (35 pto hp) and they work great. I almost bought an almost new one last year for $3500. They do not put any more of a load on the pto than any other implement and certainly less that the high stress continuous load of a bush hog.

I agree with Travis. Seems like a lot of stress to place on your favorite tractors PTO. I recently rented a self propelled stump grinder for about $120/day. It was big and fast and made short work of dozens of large stumps around my property. I'm done with it now and don't have an expensive implement laying around that I will only rarely use.

Almost forgot add. A dealer near me has PTO stump grinders for sale. On these, it looks like you will need to have 2 rear remotes to power the up/down and left/right cylinders and the one I saw looked to only have teeth on one side of the wheel so you would have to do an extra left/right motion with every cutting swing.
