LOOK AT THEIRS...BUY MINE!

Grey Market Compact Tractor Dealer and Loader Mfr.

EFC manufactures 300+ loaders a year and are the largest loader manufacturer for compact tractors in the Pacific Northwest. Some people might call our loaders "Home built" or "Back Yard". No doubt we don't have all the stickers of our competitors but a sticker does not a loader make. EFC manufactures all the loaders for our tractors for 4 very good reasons

1. Price- doesn't matter if the tractor is affordable if you don't have enough money left over for a loader. Nobody beats our loader prices. They are $1500.00 installed on your tractor and NO you don't have to buy the tractor from us to get that price!

2. Parts- cylinders and valves are available at any local farm store and are 80% cheaper than a commercial loader.

3. Reliability- our loaders are built to lift 4 times more than a commercial loader and are custom fitted to each model. No universal mounts (universal=doesn't fit anything).

4. Availability- Since we manufacture over 300 loaders a year we always have the loaders ready to put on your tractor, ALL brands not just a few Yanmars and Mitsubishi's. Got a Suzue or a Hinomoto? Bring it in, we will put a loader on it $1500.00 installed.

Sounds tempting doesn't it?

EFC is in Pasco, WA. and very near me. I have traded emails with him a couple times but have not had a chance to go look at his loaders. It appears to me that he is trying to build a business with the grey markets but is probably also realizing there is a good business in light duty loaders and backhoes. He has a 3pt mount backhoe for $3500.
Would I buy one? I would have to kick the tires or bucket real hard and I would need to be convinced that the mounting frame was designed not only to match holes on the tractor but would distrubute the loads to the proper points on the tractor. I think the reason the price includes installation is because the mounting frame has to be custom fit to the tractor.
I know he and another dealer have put that loader on a lot or grey markets with (according to him) no problems, so maybe it's fine. It may be designed from the CADPLANS loader plans.

Re: Loaders $1500 -includes installation-Pacific N

Chris99320; I spoke with EFC's boss this weekend. He sent me some pics of one of his mounts, and yes he does prefer to do the installations to make sure they are done properly. How ever, if you send him a picture of your unit's undercarriage, then he can design a mount that should work. I sent him pics and i am awaiting his response. He is using 2" Chief cylinders and Prince valves. I am no specialist in Hydraulics so i am completely oblivious as to whether this is good or average. I would imagine that it is good as most of the aftermarket stuff along these lines tend to use overkill as the norm.

Re: Loaders $1500 -includes installation-Pacific N

I was looking into several aftermarket loaders before I bought my JD 410 loader. The Great Bend loader was about the best quality aftermarket loader I could find. Its every bit as well made as the JD, BUT beware ---at the last minute before making the purchase, I asked about compatability with my mid mount mower deck. No compatability. I would have had to completely unbolt the loader subframe and install the mower frame bracket each time I wanted to install my mowing deck. No way! The great thing about the JD equipment is ease of detachment/installation and compatability with the mower and other JD attachments. IMO, the aftermarket loaders are only a viable alternative if you will leave the loader installed and will not use any other incompatable attachments.

JYoutz, that is true, I am looking at that aspect and I do think that would also be a killer for me. Even though i do not think I will mow my grasss with my loader on. But compatibility with other attachments is not an option for me either. Thanks for the input.

Re: Loaders $1500 -includes installation-Pacific N

I have a GreatBend model 220 on my 855 that works with the MMM. I can even use the front mount snowblower with just the loader removed. The one thing I can't use is the JD backhoe ,but I don't care. Also the factory loader cost $2900.
but I got the GB loader for $2000.

tbarber; How quickly does your loader come off and go on your machine?

I haven't timed my self but i'd say 10 min each way ?
It's not that hard to do, you do need one wrench. Make sure your on hard flat ground.

Re: Loaders $1500 -includes installation-Pacific N

There is obviously a difference in the mmm brackets between the 4100 and 855. The GB 220 loader is NOT compatable with the mmm on the 4100.

Re: Loaders $1500 -includes installation-Pacific N

Nuru, I never mow my grass with my loader on either, but pulling and retorquing the loader subframe bolts and reinstalling the mmm brackets each time I want to switch from one implement to another is really not a reasonable thing to do. Also, sometimes during the mowing season when I have have my mmm installed, I find a need for doing some quick loader work. With the 410 loader, its easy to leave the mower installed and attach the loader to do the job, then remove the loader when I'm done. I can do all of this very quickly and with no tools at all.
