Can backhoe attachments that are setup for skid loaders be converted to a subframe of a tractor easliy? I guess I am asking if the skid steer mounting plate unbolts from the backhoe frame to reveal the hookup for a subframe. I see that Bradco claims that certain models fit both skid steers and tractors.

I was going to pose the same question this morning. Yesterday, I looked at a backhoe made to attach to a skid steer. I wondered if it could be refitted so as to fit on the rear of my tractor (using a subframe). Something in the back of my mind says that the Bradco tractor mount mates right up to the skid steer bracket on the backhoe, but I may be hallucinating. I was also wondering rather it would be practical to just use the hoe on my loader. Obviously a pain in that the hoe would have to be removed if you wanted to use the bucket.

MrJimi,

I'm not interested in those stift mounted backhoes. I want a regular hoe (swing abilty). The one I looked at is just like one you would mount on the back of a tractor except it was made to hich to the quick attach on a skid steer.

I have a Bradco 611 that was mounted on a Case skid loader. It wasn't used much as the backhoe was too big for the power unit. I recently checked on the brackets to mount to a TC 45D and with shipping it came real close to $2000. I made the mount for the hoe and now I'm remodeling the mount for a TC 55 DA. I wouldn't mind buying the quick tach mount for my application but 2k is alot for 300# of steel. Bradco hoes are top notch and I haven't found any better quality on the market. This should be a great combination.
