Kabota L3130
I am about to buy a Bush Hog BH650 backhoe attachment with a 12" bucket. It will be put on a Kubota L3130 (32HP). I have also ordered the subframe from Bush Hog.
Has anyone own/used this brand/model, have you had good luck with this unit, wanted to ask before I spent the money!
Never had one, this is my first backhoe so it's a learning curve for me.:)

Bush Hog makes good backhoes. I think you will be happy. I would consider the 18" bucket as I think you'll find the 12" too narrow exept for narrow trenches and it will plug up with dirt and may be hard to empty.

Bush Hog is the OEM for New Holland hoes and has a good rep. What is your
quotation for the hoe and subframe and other options you may have chosen?

Any reason you chose the 6.5-footer over the 7.5 BH750? The L3130 is a
good heavy tractor and easily handles both with subframe and tractor
hydraulics.

I have both 12 and 18 inch buckets for my 7.5 hoe and find I always use the
12. The 18 is good to have if you have easy-to-dig dirt with few rocks.

I was quoted just under $6K plus tax for the backhoe/pump-reservoir/ subframe/12" bucket. I am picking it up and installaing the subframe when I get it home. As far as choosing the bh650 over the bh750. Most of what I am going to be using the backhoe for is digging down large mounds of dirt and filling a large hole. Two owners back was a guy who thought that there was gold in the side of the hill and dug two very large holes. (one is 80' long, 25' across and 20' deep) The dirt that was not sent to the sluice was piled up, along with the dirt that made a path to the sluice. So I have decided to fill in the hole. I have been filling the hole with cut trees, brush and dirt. I have been using my box scraper to loosen the dirt by backing up my tractor to the top of the mounds and draging down the dirt. Sounds good except this dirt was piled over 50 years ago and trees have grown on the mounds of dirt. Pines and Oaks. So I need to be able to get around the roots and remove the stumps. In case you were wondering, no there is no gold. I do have a gold pan and you are welcome to try you luck.

I'm pretty sure its SMC/Rhino that supplies the OEM hoes for New Holland.
My Rhino 85 is the same hoe as the NH 758C

Ooops. You are correct, Vince. I was going by memory. A quick check
of my notes and photos show the Rhinos to be the same as the NHs and
the SMCs, as you stated.

I too have both an 18" and 12" bucket. I mainly use the 12" bucket but if the digging is relatively easy you can use an 18" with no problems. It'll make the job go quicker.

I went with the 750. Not so much for the depth but for the reach and better specs. If there's not much difference in price you may want to take a look. Sounds like you got a fair price.
