Tractor
Kioti CK30HST, Kubota BX-1500,
Has anyone used one of these? It offsets and I guess covers one tire track. I don't need a big tiller and this seems ideal for me.

Width of rear wheels on Kioti CK30 is 60", any recommendations about getting a 5' tiller or this 4' "offset" one, convenience of the offset rig?

Thanks

Mike, the 4’ offset KK tiller is the one I have used on a 21hp Kubota for the last 3 years with good results. During the time I have had it we have tilled, graded and seeded about 11/2 acres of turf grass in red hard Georgia clay. In these conditions the tiller and small Kubota have really had to work hard and at times sounded like the whole thing would come apart. No problems to date and now the tiller will be used in improved garden soil which isn’t a challenge at all. In my opinion the King Kutter tillers are a good buy for the price.

With the CK 30 I am betting you could run a 60” unit if you wanted and if your soil conditions are not to bad. The offset on the 48” tiller will allow you to cover your tire tracks but you will need to make your passes from the same direction each time to do so.

Locally the price difference is only $100, or arround 8% for a 25% greater tilling width, so it seems that the 60" will be far easier to use in the long run, I'd take the easy route :)

Thanks for the advice, I looked at the 5' tiller at another TS and am leaning in that direction also,

I almost bought the 4' tiller but bought the 5' instead (King Kutter at TSC). I have been happy with it. It works good and I have had no issues with it. I run it behind my 57HP tractor.
