I bought a used buhler/allied rear mount 3 point snowblower. It will not throw snow out the chute. I am using it on a L4200 kubota. I have checked all the shear pins, I took it apart and made sure the 1/4 inch splines that the PTO drive attaches to and the second stage impeller attaches to are all intact. The second stage impeller will throw out a tennis ball, it will snap a stick but the chute fills up with snow. My sears lawn tractor throws snow farther.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help

Similar problems have been discussed here in the past. Make sure the fan is spinning. It should spin much faster than the auger (I forget the actual ratio). Make sure the clearance between the fan blades and the fan shroud is minimal. The typical clearange is 1/8" and less is better.

The actual design of the chute will also determine how the snow will exit the chute. Some designs are great while others suck.

Wet snow doesn't throw all that well at all.

I suggest you do a search here as there have been several excellent posts that talk about just your problem.

If it clogging the chute immediately..... try a good dowse of PAM cooking spray or an equivalent. There are more permanent coatings you can apply, but this should get your driveway done till you can pick up something better.

I have an Allied 60 inch snowblower and it plugs up sometimes when the snow is real wet. It works alright the rest of the time. I only have a 1300 Ford and it handles it fairly good. I live in the snowbelt of northwestern Pennsylvania and normally it gets a good work out. Good luck.
