You may already know this, but CT Family Stores (Central Tractor) is apparently going out of business. They are selling out at 10% -40% off everything. The attachments were marked down 30% today, and our store still had some 3PH back blades, rakes, booms, mowers, carriers, etc. It may be a good chance to get your tractor touch-up paint, lights, and just about anything else you can think of and save a little money.

Isnt CT part of the Country/quality farm and fleet closeout? TSC bought out a number of the locations.

duanet,

Where are they from Rochester? Is it worth the ride if I want to get a bush-hog for field work?

Buck,

The store I was in this morning was in Cortland, NY. Before you drive any distance, you probably should call to make sure they have what you want. Have them physically verify that the item really is in stock. The sod buster I wanted was in stock (on the computer inventory) but it wasn't actually there.

Gary,

I hadn't heard that, but that would probably be good. I did a location check on TSC in New York State a couple months ago and there was only one listed, in Sharon Springs, I think. It sure is handy having a CT or TSC nearby when you own a tractor and CT will be missed by me if something else doesn't take its place.

There is a CT here in Utica NY that is closing, although it may reopen as a TSC. There is a TSC already 20 miles to the west, so who knows. As for inventory, there are only finish mowers here - bummer because I would love a cheap brush hog and sod buster - but no luck. Let me know if anyone wants me to check on something physically - I drive by everyday and will continue to watch for 65% off parts :)

Buck,There is a store on 332 heading to Canandaigua. I was there yesterday and got a few things. If you go, stop by my antique shop in Victor at 72 W. Main St. right in the village. Its called Victor House Antiques.

Thanks Von,

IF I can get out this weekend, I'll definitely stop by. Probably with the wife.

Have you ever gone to the John Deere expo there? I went last year and it was my first time in Canandaigua and is a great place, next year when the show returns I will try and make it to your store.

The one in Lockport, NY is closing too. Rumor is that TSC will be moving in. That might not be a bad thing. This CT has been a little shaky on service and inventory. We'll see. I got some lights and a battery charger 30% off. Implements were all gone.
