Got some new tools for garage and tractor use.

12 Ton shop press

3 pt quick hitch

500A battery load tester

1/2" Impact gun with 625 ft lb. torque

Set of double sided impact sockets sizes 17mm,19mm,21mm,3/4,13/16, & 7/8

The but comes into play with the quick hitch. It fit the tractor just fine but does not line up with the snowblower brackets so I had to go but some 6" long pins to slide through so it would work. (see pic)

Then I went and checked my cat. 1 KK back blade width. It would have to be less than 26 5/8" to fit inside or more than 29" to fit outside the quick hitch. The outside measurement is 27 5/8" so it won't fit inside the quick hitch and the inside is 26" so I can't mount it either. The tabs the pins go in are the same width as the the lower quick hitch latches so I'll have to cut off the tabs on the BB, move them in and reweld so the quick hitch will line up with the mount pins. I haven't checked the 3 pt. KK rake yet since I loaned that to a friend. (Loaned tools is another thread)

Has anyone else had this problem with the HF quick hitch for cat 1 implements?

Had to buy pins, bushings, and beat various attachments with a sledge hammer to get them to fit. But when its done. Will not need to do it again.

Sounds like Santa was doing some heavy hauling yesterday. :)

I am guessing this is the harbor freight QA . There are several posts about having to spread the lower arms apart. If you do a search for HF quick atach you will get plenty of ideas on how to spread them.

I read all the posts on spreading the lower arms but that was to get it to fit on the tractor's lower arms. I had no problem mounting it on the tractor, its the implements that don't fit. Like Ron said I had to buy new pins for the blower to fit and will somehow adapt the BB, rake, and trailer hitch to fit also. It looks to me like the hitch is made for XB attachments which are narrower than standard cat 1. After reading those posts and only having 4 - 3 pt. implements to attach I wasn't going to buy the quick hitch but the wife didn't know that. Her intentions were good, she just made more work for me to do fitting the implements.

I have had to do a number of changes to my implements to get them to fit - but once done you are all set:

* Bush Hog - no changes required
* Back Blade - built an extension for the top link connection (top link hook would not clear frame.
* Dump bucket - moved the side arm pins forward on two short steel bars (side arm hooks on quick hitch would not clear frame)
* DR Chipper - extended side pins (were not wide enough) and built an extension for the top link connection (top link hook would not clear frame)
* Log splitter - no changes required

These did not take long.

I just got mine today. I fit on the lift arms good. It was to narrow for 2 of my atachments so I got a block of wood and a hydraulic and spread it apart about 1". . I put the jack at the verry bottomand it spread evenly. You can't even notice it. Every post I read on this said they had to do this. I knew this before I bought it. Now every thing fits fine.
