    Default Kubota front brushbar/bumper question

I have a new kubota L3130 4x4 HST, guess you could say it's an '07 model (or at least that's what the salesman told me, although I can't find it stamped on the machine anywhere). I am looking for a front brushbar or bumper, (whatever the piece is that attaches to the front bolt holes in the tractor). I feel it would add protection in tight wooded areas of operation. Also, the ability to attach weights to it would be a plus. I know Kubota sells them, but am looking for a cheaper alternative (that fits of course and is of good quality). Does anyone know of a maker/part number that I could go online and inquire about? I really appreciate it...I am new to this site and would appreciate any quidance.

Please fill out your TBN profile. Thanks ..

    Cheaper Alternatives:

    1. TractorParts.com (might beat the dealer price, but it will be close).
    2. Fabricate you own (need the skills, tools and materials to do so).
    3. Junk Yard (perhaps to assist in #2 above)

Generally, a piece like a grill guard on a commercially produced tractor are not interchangeable between brands. Some creativity, craftsmanship and good luck will be required.

Actually, the factory grill guards on most tractors I've seen lately fall short in terms of performance. While they are better to have than not to have, I have seen a lot of crushed plastic and bent metal in spite of their presence.

Use this as an opportunity to increase the protection of your machine. You will probably be able to do this for near the same price as if you were to purchase the OEM grill guard.

Searching this forum, you will see a number of homemade grill guards for various machines - perhaps an opportunity exists there between yourself and a TBNer.

The ones made by kubota are very well made, look nice with the design of you tractor and match perfectly!

I have seen people put expanded metal on the factory guards. This keeps the smaller stuff out of your grill and headlights.

How about this. It looks exactly like the one on my L5030HSTC.
