What brands of implements does TSC carry?

Since the local CT's are Farm & Home liquidating and they are already out of 5' rotary cutters and 5' box blade, and there is some hope that TSC might take over the store(s), wonder what they carry. I liked the KingKutter that the Farm & Home carried. I looked at their website but didn't see that info posted. Possibly, its a regional decission, vs corporate?

John, most of their implements are made by either Wallace or King Kutter. In some cases, you have a choice as to which one you want.

I don't know anything about Wallace and couldn't find anything on a quick net search. KingKutter will be fine, as long as their pricing is in the ballpark compared to CT. Hopefully TSC will come to at least one of the local stores that are closing. Thanks again.

be careful, the implement may be made by King Kutter but to TSC specs, thus cheaper than the actual King Kutter. I was looking at a King Kutter cutter and TSC said they had that cutter but it was cheaper. So I drove 30 miles to pick it up, when I got there the cutter was labeled TSC and it was really cheap. Their comment was well it came off the King Kutter truck. So be careful.

John, I'd agree with Dan; you have to look at what you're buying. Tractor Supply Co. has some very good deals and I've bought a lot of stuff from them, but they also sometimes have some cheap junk. However, my experience so far has been that they stand by their products pretty well; will either replace defective stuff or refund your money. I've noticed on a lot of their implements there's no name other than their own, but in their catalog, sometimes there's a single picture of an implement, but two part numbers; one for Wallace and another for King Kutter.

I agree with Bird, I purchased a rear blade (KK) and it broke after 10 minutes of use - took it right back to TSC and the accepted it without question. I have read of several people who were satisfied with KK implements from TSC so it comes down to how much risk/value you are willing to wage.

On a side note the TSC here in Plainfield, IN was phasing out Wallace due to quality problems, but I have a wallace 1 row cultivator and never had any problems.

So if the budget is tight and you still want/need the toys, TSC may be the way to go. If you are looking for long lasting quality and reliability, you should opt for the top tier (Landpride, Woods, Bushog, etc)

KingKutter made to lower specs, might sway me to look elsewhere. I'll have to wait for a touchy feely to see if they have done so.

I was interested in KK 5.5 rotary cutter model which uses heavier deck metal, but even the Farm and Home, wasn't interested in pricing or ordering, last fall. I am looking for light to med/light cutter. I have about 4acres of tall weeds, that would need mowing 3-4 times a year, plus some trail maintenance. The box blade will be used for trail maintenance and other light duties.

Does anyone know of other implement dealers in NY or Northern PA that carry KingKutter? Live outside Binghamton NY, and wouldn't have a problem for a 100mi trip.

You might try just going to the King Kutter site and seeing if they have a list of dealers. You could write to them also. I did when I was wondering about the weight limits of my 30 inch dirt scoop. They were slow replying, but they did reply.

Yea, I have KK site bookmarked, but the only stores they show within 500 miles, are the ones that are closing /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif. KK did respond very quickly when I needed pricing on parts to the KK box blade. The Vestal store has one but its missing over $200 worth of parts! If the price goes below $100 I might still get it.
