A guy down the road is moving and selling all his tractor stuff.
He has a Woods MD 160 rotary cutter for $1k, could probably
deal and get it for $900. Would you jump on this?

My situation: Kubota 2910, would need the cutter for clearing
undergrowth and trails through my woods, so the 2" capacity
would be a big plus. The 160 has chain guards, slip clutch,
and laminated tailwheel. Not sure if it has a stump jumper
(this was an option).

I was planning on buying a BB60 in the spring but this might
be my best shot at an MD cutter. I know Glennmac is running
one on a 2910. No way would I feel comfortable with a BB600
(>1000 lbs) on a 2910. I really like the design of the BB60
and am wondering whether the 3/8" x 3" blades on the BB60
might not do almost as well on thick brush as the 3/8" x 4"
blades on the MD 160.

So my Q is: MD160 now or BB60 in the spring? For anyone
who has cut brush with a BB60, what is the thickest stuff
you have gone through?

This guy also has a JD 770 with loader, asking $12,900, and
a 3PH tiller with about 2 hours on it, asking $1400. Email me
(see profile) if interested for contact info. This is southern NH.

I bought a brand new MD 172 with chains, slip clutch and stump jumper for $1700 so if you can get it for $900 and it is in good condition go for it. Most of them seem to come with the stump jumpers and I am not sure but I thought it was standard equipment. Good luck

What make is the tiller? How wide is it? Slip clutch?

Finally got back over there this morning to look at the tiller.
It's a Kuhn model EL 32 with slip clutch. 48" cut, 51" transport
width. Used 2 hours and stored in garage since.
He's asking $1400.

Thanks, but I'm looking something 72 inches or bigger.
