I am thinking ahead to spring and am going to need a sprayer. I've looked at and priced Crop Care made by Paul Zimmerman Inc, and the Hardi and Demco rear mount sprayers. I've decided on the 110 gallon with the middle grade roller pump and a 20 foot three section foldable boom. If anyone has experience with 3 pt hitch sprayers and could recommend a good brand I would appreciate hearing about it.

Can't go wrong with hardi, Diaphragm pumps are best and cheap to fix.

I built my own and have a dual tank system. If you are at all handy, you can buy components and built your own. TSC, Northern and Agri Supply all sell everything you need to build a nice 3pt sprayer with tanks up to a couple hundred gallons. Mine is smaller than yours but might give you some ideas.

I wish I had used larger tanks (at least one of them) but am happy I went with a dual tank set up. I have one tank for poison (herbicides/pesticided) and another tank for organic fertilizers. I used horizontal tanks and so my tanks are stacked one over the other. I find that the fertilizer tank is large enough for my modest needs but I'd have preferred to have gone with a 50 gallon tank for herbicide.

I used "air hose" reels for my spray guns and also have a diverter valve for a boom sprayer. My rig is about 6' tall but it doesn't occupy a lot of floor space. I welded casters on the bottom so it is easy to move around. It was built on a modified "carry all" with extra risers added to accomidate the upper tanks and and the hose reels.

Thanks for the good advice. Bob has gotten me thinking about making my own. I just talked to a friend and he has a Hypro roller pump, the T valve, relief regulator, and pump adapter, all new, that he will sell me cheap. I have a three point lift sitting in the shed that I think a 100 gallon tank would fit on. Hopefully this way I could save a few dollars and it just might be fun putting it together.

Consider boomless nozzels. Its alot easier to build and to spray in pastures around trees. Also buy a good tank and saddle.

I have a 55 gal boomless sprayer. Only got to use it a few times last year. I was concerned with wind blowing the spay all over the place but I found that not to be the case. I used a blue die, as was suggested ny someone here on tbn, the first few times to eliminate over spraying. Being a boomless I can spray through the fence lines without loosing a boom to the fence.
