If you have any experience with either of these I would love to hear from you.

We plant transplants threw mulch. It appear either of the above unit will do the job. I have not seen either in action so I would love to hear your feedback.

One other problem I have is in the winter we plant lettuce, cabbage, etc. We have been using mulch and it has been working really well. Both of the above model from what I understand are not made to do seeds. But maybe you can make a dirt ball and fire it down the tube? Not sure if this would work. So if you have any tricks I would love to hear about it.

Thanks for your time
Chuck

For direct seeding of lettuce, cabbage, radish's ect, (all small seed) I've found the best way to seed is with a "Planet Jr." planter. Cole/Covington makes them. Row units for mounting on a toolbar are just over $1000 each with mounting hardware, ect. I use a single row "push planter" to plant my garden. It does an incredable job.

I helped my father-in-law with his tobacco for many years. We used a Holland transplanter. Always worked well.
