Kubota 4630
I have a Kubota 4630 tractor with a 853 loader with a pin on bucket. I woulld like to convert the loader to a quick attach style. Can I swap in a the Kubota quick attach on the loader arms or will I need to use one of the adapter systems from ATI or others? Should I try to have a quick attach plate welded to the bucket of simply get a quick attach bucket? Is there a quick attach plate that would simply pin onto the bucket.

I have tried to research these issues on line and contacted the dealer but I am getting very little information. Is this type of conversion difficult or impractical?

Any help would be appreciated.

I went through this awhile back ... jinman bought the QA with a pin on adapter ( like the ATI setup) This is good if you think you'd ever want to revert back. I bought a QA then modified my bucket. We have blue but the same thing should work for orange. Buying a new bucket was cost prohibitive for me. I have about $500 in my conversion...maybe a bit more .. (don't remember the numbers) but Boy Howdy was it ever worth it! Here's a pic of the "after" ... note the the pin on plates sitting on top of the bucket. I cut these off then welded a QA plate to the bucket. Bought the tractor side QA from a dealer. My main impetus was to buy a grapple that needed a skid steer QA.. Love it too ......

Mikim,
What are the brackets on the top of the bucket used for?

they were cut from the bucket and are just sitting there.

Now when you say "$500" that is for the new plate, the QT adaptors on the loader frame, cutting, welding and painting -- right? Not just for the bucket plate?
