I found a 4" box blade (decent shape) with four "prongs/rippers" on it - used for $275. Is this a decent price for avg condition box blade?

Also, being new to compact tractors, what is the basic difference between the classes of 3 point hitches. I believe mine on my new tractor (I haven't taken delivery yet of my B3030) is class I, but what exactly does that mean?

Sounds high and maybe even the wrong size.

A brand new 5' model is currently $419 at TSC and that will reflect the high cost of steel and it would be 25% bigger and built heavier. If it is 4', it might have cat 0 spacing. The Kubota guys can confirm what type of hitch you have. Don't buy too small. You will probably need a 5' model. It should be the same width as the tractors rear tires outermost measurement.

Real basic difference between the classes is size. Zero being the smallest. Spacing of the pins to hook up to the 3 point hitch varies with each, I believe the pin diameters are different too.
Regarding the BB, I think the price is too high for a four footer. Heed gordon21's advice and measure the distance across your rear tires and buy one that will cover your tire tracks.
Finally, fill out your profile so we know what part of the country your live in and what type / size machine you have - makes answering your questions a lot easier for us.

A B3030 is about 54" wide at the rear tires, therefore a 5 foot box blade is the minimum width to cover the tire tracks. A B3030 would likely hand a 6 foot box blade as well, however I stayed with 5 foot to allow me more flexibility in narrow spots. Good luck with your decision.

I would spend the extra cash and get a KK 5ft from TSC. You will be much happier. I run a 4ft on my BX1500. Your 3030 should have no trouble with the 5ft. I am with psdx
