Here are some pics of an old two row cultivator I bought for $100.00. I think it is a Ford because I can see a little blue paint still showing in a few places. Do you concur that it is a Ford? I've never used a cultivator but I look forward to learning. Any feedback as to what to do and what not to do is appreciated.

That's a Ford implement, but it wasn't Blue originally. That would have been the red found on the later N's, NAA, and on in to the "hundred series" tractors.

If you're going to use it as a row crop cultivator, you MIGHT want "fenders" and maybe the center coulter. (Used to keep the cultivator from wandering and taking out the crop) If it's going to be used like a field cultivator, you may want new points, but it's more or less ready to do battle now.

$100 is a bargain. Ya done good!

Can you find fenders and center coulters commercially or will I have to find these parts off an old junker?

I won't go as far as saying you CAN'T find aftermarket fenders, but I'd be suprised. The coulter and associated hardware will be even harder to find. I'd start looking at tractor boneyards.

I have been looking for a photo of a cultivator like yours. I want to buy some of the round shanks that the sweeps are attached to. Can you tell me what type they are, or what they are commonly called? Any info will be appreciated!
