IT would depend on how you use it! If you are using it to remove bands hydro is the best!
If it is for daily snow fall then the wider unit might work fine as you have no compressed snow.
The 74" vs the 72" is a larger blower in all ways! It's larger opening and blower can take more snow faster but it would also require more horsepower to do that.

Thanks for the replies! I am going to try to find out a little more about the Loftness but have to make the decission this week as I won't be ablr to keep uo with the snow otherwise
