I am presently evaluating a Bush Hog Squealer 60” rotary mower as well as a Land Pride 18 series version

Both have slip clutches. I will be using on a Kubota B7800 on frequently mowed pasture grass.

The Bush Hog is about $200 less expensive. Roughly $1300 vs $1100.

Does anyone have experience with both of these units? I had a LP 1560 and beat it to death-but that was probably due to me and not the mower’s fault :)

I suspect that both are very good commercial mower decks.

Thank you!

I'm not 100% familiar with the Land Pride but I will say that the Squealer is an extremely well built cutter and should be able to withstand most anything you throw at it.

I have a Bushhog SQ600. I'd tear up my tractor before the Bushhog. The cutter has seen some mean stuff. If it's not a tree and I can push it over with the FEL, it'll cut it.

Everything I've seen by LP is very comparable to BH. I just purchased a LP RFM model FDR 1672. I've had it 2 days and it's 40 degrees so haven't really used it yet. Not really apples to apples comparison but from quality of production on units I own, I wouldn't hesitate to buy either.

My case was exact opposite, BH RFM was $400 more than LP. If money is the kicker, I'd get the lower priced of the 2.

I agree, pretty equivilent well built units from two top end companies
