Plan on buying something this weekend and while looking at toothbars I ran across 2 basic types. The standard digging toothbar that on a 60in bucket has 6-7 teeth. The other a landscape toothbar on the same size bucket has 12-14 teeth.

Most of the work is going to be dirt/brush/ and 1900+ ft of gravel road maintance stuff on 15ac using a 43hp mfwd tractor. Anyone have a suggestion as to which would serve me better??

never heard of a landscape toothbar... always see 6-7 teeth on them.

There was a good discussion on number of teeth vs penitration force per tooth.

obiously more teeth means each one can penitrate with less force.

The landscape tooth bars are pretty cool. You can scrape the ground and rip out bushes and small saplings with amazing ease. A little tougher getting them off, but that depends on how the sides of the teeth are. You want them to be smooth so you can just backdrag the bucket to get the brushies off.

Like everything, they are a compromise to optimize different aspects of FEL work.
