Tiller Looking for a tiller, any help??

I bought a Woods 52" standard tiller last year.Have it on my Kubota B7610.
I say standard cause supposedly they make a commercial grade also which i didnt bother looking at because the "standard" model is built like a tank.It seems to be a gluton for punishment too.I also looked at a Howard but didnt think it was as heavily built and it was the same price if not a little more.
Anyway i think it works great so far.Cost me $1749 including tax.And
like most manufacturers of tillers, they have a wide choice of sizes.
Not that it matters, but i think it was actually made in Italy.I thought Woods was strictly an American company.

I'm not sure many things are REALLY American made anymore (Harleys maybe). Even if something big says "made in USA" on it, its probably just a 5 min final assembly job to put together 5 sub-assemblies shipped in from who-knows-where. Oh well.

Anyway, good feedback so far. I've thought offset adjust might be a good thing. Are any of the KK's offsetable? I've looked at Woods too (on-line) and there's a dealer near me. Would the Woods sub-compact models probably be too light for the rock infested clay here in western NY?

Not even Harleys are all US built - my 97 Roadking came with a Japanese carb!

I looked at tillers for my JD 5510. I wanted an 8ft model until I saw the prices - dealer quoted $5400 for a Woods 8ft tiller (heavy duty enough to take the 75 PTO HP from the 5510). I ended up going to TSC and getting a 72" KK on sale for $1250. Appears to be built tough and it does a great job on the tough clay here in the Shenandoah Valley. I would recommend a KK tiller to anyone needing a tiller who isn't going to use it commercially.

I have a Lanpride, 42" I think, I bought it used for $600. I works great with my B7100, and we have pretty rocky soil here in Little Rhody. I use it for some small feed patches and a few gardens. My only wish is that it would dig down a little deeper. It is a rugged little thing, easy to hook up, adjustable side to side to cover my tracks on the right.

Well, I have a KKII 72" tiller that I have been using to till pastures before renovation. At the end of tilling 12 acres over the past two weeks I looked behind me to see that all of the welds except 2 that hold the frame on have broken.

I have a lot more tilling to do and will be using a tiller routinely so I am headed out to look at tougher tillers.

Two things I can suggest, weight is good, I have used light tillers that just bounce, and 6 tines per flange if I were shopping would be a must. I have used both 4 and 6 tines and side by side after one pass, there is a real noticeable difference especially in plowed ground, one pass with the 6 tine tiller and the garden was ready to plant, took two passes with the 4 tine.
