Before I head in to get a quote at the nearest dealer 2 towns away I'd like to have an idea of what I should expect to pay, has anyone priced them out or purchaced one latley?

nope, dont know bought my rtr2562 in 1994, was about $2300

I figured I'd call first, call arround, but I wanted an idea of what to expect so I know if I'm about to get the shaft :mad:

What is the advantage of the 25 over the 20? Is it just heavier duty, or is it more than that?

yep, heavier more structure to handle axial tork, heavier chain. gearbox rated for more tork, I dont believe the reverse 20 series was avalaible back then.

I woulda never guessed they are that expensiv now.
