I picked up this 1953 Pittsburgh Frame, 2 Row Cultivator from an auction last Saturday up in Greenwood FL about 5 miles from me.

It's stamped 1953, with the Pittsburgh stamp, and also has (MHF)stamped. Not sure if it was an old Massey Harris-Furgeson or not.

Prevous owner had done a quick John Deere spray job on it....but it won't last long!

I had to replace the rear Sweeps and Pegs because the owner had welded some Sweeps to a cut-off Peg and didn't allow the rear sweeps to extend up high enough.

I also had to replace the bearings for the Coulter axle as the roller bearings feel out.

I was lucky that we have a large Massey Ferguson/New Holland/John Deere dealership in town that carries all sorts of old tractor and implement parts.

Taylor/Pittsburgh still makes lots of replacement parts for these old cultivators.

I'll post some more pics tomm with it installed on my tractor.

I love old tractors and implements and although they may no longer be needed by the BIG Megga farmers around here.... there will still always be a place for the old tried and true stuff.

What did you pay for it PSD? I recently picked up an old Ford two row cultivator for $100.00.
